What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

Looking for caring nanny to cook healthy dinners, make lunches occassionally, do school drop-offs and pick-ups, grocery shopping, and the kids laundry (daughter does own laundry, essentially nanny does son's laundry only). Cleaning crew comes in every other Tuesday to do heavy cleaning, keeping house neat and organized between maid service visits a MUST. Landscapers care for outside grounds. Must be NEAT and organized, IF YOU'RE NOT, PLEASE DON'T APPLY. Cooking healthy meals for the kids very important, while we do eat out frequently, nanny can expect to cook approximately 3-4 dinners per week. Fresh vegetables encouraged. Parent takes care of himself. SMOKERS/DRINKERS NOT ACCEPTED, this is grounds for immediate dismissal. This is a very relaxed envoirnment with lots of free time for nanny. Personal laptop is encouraged, can use household DSL. Prior experience managing a household a major plus. Parent works long hours. This position requires a self motivated, proactive nanny.

My name is Nick and I am a medical device sales rep for Johnson & Johnson in Northern California. My daughter Samantha is 15 and my son Nicko is 11. Two great kids. In January 2001, my wife and best friend, Janet was stricken with an illness and is now confined to a facility in Marin County, she does not live with us. We are married 30 years. I am 54 years old. The kids need a female influence in their lives, especially my daughter. We live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe in a five bedroom house in the hills. I work long hours and need to be overnight about once a week. Most weekends the kids and I go to my wife's facility and spend the weekend returning Sunday night, although this does vary. The nanny has her own bedroom/bathroom on the main floor with complete privacy. There's more to talk about, this is a nice situation for the right person.
