Family Description:

We are an average couple. I am working in the National Health Service in Spain as a drug adviser to doctors. My wife, Elena, works as a nurse at the Emergency Department of a Hospital. We have a cheerful, smily happy son, David, who is 2 years old. We stay in a small city and we enjoy trekking, skiing and visiting new places.

Au Pair Letter:

We are an average family and we enjoy outing, nature, trekking, skiing, etc. We love sharing our time with friends and relatives as well. We usually go on excursion on the weekends. We are absolutely respectful with others' customs and belief. Besides food and accommodation, we also offer free Spanish classes 2 hours per day, 4 days weekly, free bus transportation in the city and a salary of 240 euros per month. Taking into account that we will be having a newborn in September we think our apartment may become rather small. We also think the au pair may find it uncomfortable to hear a newborn cry at night. That is why we offer the au pair a room in a students apartment closeby. The au pair would be spending most of the time with us and she will always be invited to join our plans, excursions, celebrations, etc. We also feel living-out to be an excellent opportunity to know a bit more about our culture, make new friends and going out at night. In the students apartment you will have an individual room. We would like to know some more about you yet you would surely have an important influence on David. We can guess you will also like to know about us because it is also sensible to think it over whenever you are planning a change of pace. We would like you to ask any question or doubt you may have. We already had a previous au pair at home. She is from Canada. She had a very nice time with us and we have been really happy with her and we still keep in touch with her. We can forward you her e-mail address upon request if you want to know about her experience in Spain with us. We would like the au pair to start as soon as possible between September 1st and October 1st, 2008. In our experience it is not advisable to change the au pair very often and that is why we would like the au pair to stay with us for at least nine months. Needless to say the au pair is free to leave at any time if she is not happy with us or any unforeseen event.
