What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

We expect our au pair to become a part of our family -to be flexible & fun & of course responsible. Since I will be working from home I will have constant contact & interaction with our new baby & the aupair. I expect the aupair to be able to care for the baby while I am working. But the aupair will have evenings & weekends off - my husband & I want to spend as much time as possible with our new child.

Family Description:

Alfred is French & works in IT, and I am Dutch (although I grew up in California) and work in logistics. We have done quite a bit of traveling, and love visiting new countries and learning about different cultures & customs. We have settled in the countryside outside of Toulouse and are expecting our first child end of June 2007.

Au Pair Letter:

Dear AuPair, we are an international,fun loving, & open family. We are expecting our first child end June 2007 and because I work from home I will need help while working. We are interested in an aupair so that we do not have to put our child in daycare for 35 hours a week. I would like to see my child all day every day, so I will also be on hand to take care of our child as my work schedule permits. Thus I will also be spending a lot of time with the aupair - so I hope to become great friends. We speak Dutch English and French in our home and we have lots of family & friends that come to visit us in the countryside from The Netherlands, USA, and France. So although we are not in the middle of a city we are socially active. We both love traveling, and right now are busy discovering our new region of southern France.
