What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

Getting children ready in the morning and take them to school. Pick them up from school and get them ready for bed. Occasionally doing a load of washing, keeping the house tidy, preparing simple children meals, day and/or night time baby-sitting and doing some fun and/or educational activities with them.

Family Description:

I am a single mum with two little girls, 4 and 5 years old. We are an easy going multi cultural family living in Sydney, Australia. I am German and the children's father is Cuban. The children understand and speak English, German and Spanish even though they currently refuse to speak anything but English. We live on the Northern Beaches, a beautiful area of Sydney - close to beaches, parks and public transport. We like travelling, the outdoors and sports and the children also love music, dance and performance due to their father being a professional Latin dancer.

Au Pair Letter:

Dear Au-Pair, We are an easy going family, looking forward to making you part of our team and have lots of fun together. I am a busy, full-time working single mum, thus need some help with the children and around the house. Having a triple nationality background German, Australian and Cuban we are a pretty open-minded and relaxed family and don't believe in any dogmatic ideas. Thus we are happy for some fresh air in form of your culture, ideas and personality to breathe into our lifes. There is just one area I won't compromise on: The children need to be safe and cared for in a responsible and loving way. Please don't look at this as 'just a job'. We want you to be part of our family, where we treat each other with mutual love and respect. During the day you would be by yourself and free to do whatever you want. Four out of five days you would also have a car available to go and explore the area or meet friends around Sydney. Beaches, parks, shops and cafes are close by so there is lots to do and I am more than happy to help you finding places and things to do for you and spent time showing you around.
