What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

We expect her to take care of our children 3 afternoons a week and sometimes during the weekend, and to TALK TO THEM IN ENGLISH, during the time she spends with them. We expect a respectful, honest and sensible person who can manage in spanish (in order to feel comfortable in our town).

Family Description:

I am 35 years old and work as a clinical psychologist. My husband is 41 and is a psychiatrist. He has a 10 year-old daughter who lives with her ex-wife and comes to stay with us half of weekends and summertime. We also have two children, a boy aged 2 years and a girl who will be 1 next month.They will go to the nursery from september.We have a woman helping us with the workhouse and children caring in the morning, and in the afternoon we take care of the kids. I am talking to them in english, and would like to have someone help me with this bilingual education.My husband does not speak much English, so it would be better if the au pair speaks some spanish.

Au Pair Letter:

Dear Au pair: Just a few lines to say that this is our first experience as a host family. We would like to share our family with someone eager to learn spanish, and maybe also work here, for we just want you to take care of our children around three afternoons a week and sometimes during the weekend, and to always speak to them in englih, which I am already doing. We would offer you a big room in a quiet and very nice house close to Pamplona, and five minutes from the public university of Navarra. Also, you would have your food and basic expenses covered by living with us. I have lived in England and Ireland for some periods, and always have good experiences with the host families, and we hope to also provide you with a good time.
