What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

We would like our AuPair to be friendly and serious at the same time. A person that knows what is right and what is wrong, that enjoys showing children a good example of behavior. Previous experience working with children our children group age is preferible. She needs to have three contactable references for personal reference and for professional if possible. We would expect our Aupair to have clear criminal record and recent medical examination or to be willing to be checked prior to her arrival to our family. She is not required to drive, although it would be a plus. The role requires some light workhouse and the salary is negotiable according to how much or little the AuPair would like to help us with the house. We have a cleaner for 8 hours a week so no heavy housework is required!

Family Description:

We have a wonderful Aupair that is with us for over a year now. Her English has improved greatly and this Christmas will be ready to move on to new challenged in her life. For that reason we are looking for a new aupair to start a new adventure with us. Our current Aupair would gladly talk to you about our family and the position. We are a multicultural, family and the words that would describe us the most are: young, busy, friendly, loving and caring. Both parents work full time in the city and both children are full time at school. The mum Anny is Greek speaking Greek, Italian, Spanish and English of course, the dad Joe is English born and raised but from Spanish background, the kids Daniel 9 and Marieli 7 were born in Spain but they live in England and they speak English although they understand a great deal of Greek and Spanish. They are loving and active kids with many interests. After school they have many extra activities, like swimming, gymnastics, ballet, football, chess, language courses, so their week is never boring!! We love travelling and spending time with friends. We are in favor of a healthy life style. We are quite experimental with our food - try everything and we have no allergies. We love watching movies and listening to the music, going to concerts and meeting with friends. If you are musical, we have at home a piano where you can practice. We live in the beautiful area of Surrey, in Surbiton, 5 minutes walking from Kingston University, the center of Kingston and the river Thames. Our house is a semi-detached with 5 bedrooms and a beautiful little garden. The kids love playing there and they especially enjoy our super sized trampoline.

Au Pair Letter:

Dear AuPair girl, we are looking forward to having you with our family. There is so much we can learn from each other. We would like you to be like an older sister to our children and we will always treat you fair, with integrity and honesty. We are very discreet people and although you will always be able to count on us like your foster family, you will have the privacy you need as an adult you are. You will have your own bedroom and bathroom with TV and wireless internet connection, in a very nice suburb of London, near great language schools, Universities, shops, cinemas, etc. You will be required to help with light workhouse, but do not worry we have a cleaner for the heavy duty stuff. This role is for approximately 30 hours a week 2 evenings babysitting. The children are away at courses for many hours per day so you will have plenty of time for studying and/or sightseeing. Our current Aupair is leaving on the 20th of December, so ideally we would like you to join us before that day so that there is some period of learning and handing over. However if this is a problem and you are a perfect fit for our family, we are willing to wait for a bit. We hope to hear from you soon and we are happy to answer to any questions.
