What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

Family Description:

Two children: a boy who will be 2 in June and a girl who will be 4 in August. We have our own business. Mother works part-time and needs someone to help around the house, do daycare drop-offs and pick-ups, and do incidental babysitting.

Au Pair Letter:

We currently have a lovely Au Pair from Germany who is leaving us on April 1, 2008. She has been with us since early July 2007 (total of 8.5 months), and has had a great time with our family. We need someone to start shortly after she leaves and work approximately 30 hours per week for us. You would have your own bedroom with a Queen size bed and your own bathroom. We live in a large old house about 7km from the city, close to the airport and the motorway to the Gold and Sunshine Coasts. We live a short walk from a large shopping centre and public transport (buses and trains). Your tasks would include: Playing with the children Changing nappies Bathing children Dressing children Feeding children Cooking for the children some days Washing children’s bottles and cups by hand (we have a dishwasher for other dishes) Taking the children for a walk in the pram some mornings or evenings Lots of cuddles and kisses!!! Light housework tasks include: Loading and unloading the dishwasher Hanging out childrens' washing on the clothes line Grocery shopping (occasionally) such as milk, bread, fruit (the shops are a short walk away) Cleaning the bathtub before or after the children have their bath Sweeping or vacuuming the main living area (occasionally) If you would like to email our current Au Pair and ask her about our family, I am happy to provide her email address!
