Au Pair Letter:
|
My working week is Monday to Wednesday working from 8.am to 5.10 pm. Therefore I have to leave the house at 7.40 am at the latest and will be home approximately after 5.30 pm. We have 2 children: one aged 2 years 7 months (boy) and a little girl Taylah who is 13 months old. My mother usually looks after them, however my Dad is in and out of hospital at the moment so therefore it is not that easy for my mother to have them all the time.
My mother does not want to lose contact with them so she will still be part of there lives for the 3 days. It may take a while to bond with the children so at first I propose the following;
You have the children from 7.45 am to 12.15 afternoon = 4.5 hours
Granny will have them at my house from 12.15 to 16.15
You will have them again from 16.15 to 17.45 pm = 1.5 hours (either Nico or I will be home from work then and take over)
This equals 18 hours from Monday to Wednesday. I would expect our au pair to work for 30 hours per week and additional 2 nights babysitting. We will make sure the children are in bed before we go out. This could be any night of the week including weekends. The remaining time will be divided by light house duties e.g. Vacuuming, dusting, taking the dogs for a walk, loading dishwasher and washing machine/tumble dryer and packing the children’s laundry away in their wardrobes.
This arrangement could change where you have the children 2 full days a week and they will go to my Mother for one full day a week at her house. You will have your own bedroom - shared bathroom with the children which has a bath , basin/toilet but no shower.
Breakfast/lunch - to be made by yourself - please feel free to use the food and cooldrink within the house. Dinner - Cooked by myself - Anything else you might want to eat must be cooked by you and any special food types will have to be provided by yourself.
Your room will have its own television – but you are welcome to watch television with us in the lounge and conservatory. We have wireless broadband which you are welcome to use.
We have a bus stop outside our house for you to be able to go to town to do your english course – if it finishes at a time where Nico or I can pick you up then we will. We are 40 minutes away from London on the fast train.
Children need to have breakfast - washed - dressed - lunch and dinner. The majority of food will already be cooked for the children. In March/April Sean will be going to playschool so he will have to be walked there with Taylay in the pushchair.
We will be paying £250 pounds per calendar month and 2 full days off a week. Days are negotiable. This is basically what the job will entail. Please let me know if you have any further questions and I look forward to hearing from you.
