What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

We are willing to pay you well for your work, you will have flexible working hours during the week and weekend, to a maximum of 25 hours per week. Taking kids to school and daycare. The main task will be to provide care when we are working. If we are home, we will normally not rely on your services and you will be free to do whatever you want. At the start of the week we will make a plan for the week. We may ask you to look after the children during 1-2 evenings per week. Light housework such as preparing evening meals on the days that the parents are working late (max 2 days per week) is required. We are expecting a loving and caring person, who likes playing with children

Family Description:

We are Jeroen and Nele (Jerry and Nellie), two doctors 35 and 34 years old, Jeroen is Dutch and Nele is Belgian and we have got 3 Belgian-dutch children: Nathan 5 years old (M) goes to school from 8.30-15.30, Inez (F)3 years old goes to childcare, as does Finn (M)(currently 6 mths old). We have started to live in Nijmegen since 1-01-2008. Before, we lived in London. UK. Our children speak Dutch and English fluently. Jeroen and Nele also speak french and spanish

Au Pair Letter:

Dear "au pair", We are looking for a friendly person who likes children. This is the first time we are requiring the help of an au-pair. We are willing to pay you well for your work (100 euro per week pocket money, negotiable) and can provide good, private accomodation. We have very flexible working hours and will only require your regular services for 2 full days per week. For the rest we can make arrangements on a weekly base. We are willing to provide a Dutch language course and help you find your way in Nijmegen, a nice, very international university city, with a lot of activity. We live in the city centre, just 5 minutes away from the centre with shops, cafe's, cinema's etcetera. We are happy for you to join sports clubs, education atc.. We live close to the railway station which will take you to Amsterdam in about 1 hour and we live close to cheap Ryan airport of Weeze (Dusseldorf Niederrhein in Germnany, just across the border), with destinations to everywhere in Europe.
