What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

General requirements are the following: Help with older children - dressing, feeding, supervising, entertaining Prepare simple food - breakfast and easy lunch Work 6-7 hours per day - Starting 8am - 10 am - Two hours off from 10-12 and back to work for the afternoon. This is flexible and we can discuss this but we will need close to 35 hours per week. 2 days off per week - weekends - Can discuss this. Minimum stay 6 months - can be extended. Baby-sitting 1 night a week - not required when twins are newly born. Paid extra and will be agreed in advance. Supervising twins if I have to bring older children to doctor, playschool or town. One weeks paid holiday every 4 months with minimum 2 weeks notice. Pay

Au Pair Letter:

I am 34 years old, my husband Emmett is 36 years old. I am a lecturer at a local College and my husband is in construction. We have two children, Daniel who is 3 and 1/2 and Abbie who is 2. We are also expecting twin babies in May. I will be on Maternity Leave and additional leave for the next year and want to have a helping hand around the house with my two older children. I will always be around so there is alot of flexibility with days off and even during the days when the two older children will be in play-school. Our au-pair will never be left on her own to mind all the children but instead will supervising, entertaining and generally helping out with the children because I will always be around. Our children are well-behaved. They love to colour, sing, dance, play and walk in the local forests or visit and feed the ducks in our local park. They eat well, sleep well and have no behavioural difficulties. They will also be going to play-school 3 mornings a week in April May and September. We have two lovely Tibetan terrier dogs which the children adore - they are very friendly and great fun. We have a donkey and a horse in the field beside our house. Our house is great fun, My husband and I have a very positive attitude and are young so full of life and spontaneity. We live in Ireland, in Co. Offaly between the towns of Birr and Roscrea. We live in the countryside but only 5 minute drive from the two towns Birr and Roscrea and because we live in the middle of Ireland you have close access to Dublin, Galway, Limerick and Cork by train or bus. We also have 2 cars so if our au-pair was confident we would be happy to consider giving access to the car. Both towns have good pubs, nite-clubs, gyms and general leisure facilities. We live in a very large home and our au-pair will have her own very large en-suite bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe, and TV and telephone and Internet connection.
